The Wild Cat Conservation Centre, situated in the scenic Hawkesbury Valley, approximately an hour northwest of Sydney, New South Wales, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of smaller wild cat species, such as clouded leopards, servals, caracals, and cheetahs. Established in 2016 under the leadership of Director Ben Britton, the 10-hectare facility in Wilberforce serves as a unique sanctuary for these often overlooked felids.
As Australia’s only breeding program for clouded leopards and cheetahs, the Centre plays a crucial role in advancing global conservation efforts, particularly for vulnerable species like the clouded leopard. Visitors can experience these remarkable animals up close through personalized guided tours, offered from Wednesday to Sunday, which provide an intimate look at the Centre’s breeding, rewilding, and research programs.
